Sh. Abdul Aleem, Director of Prosecution, Govt. of NCT of Delhi did Pre-University Course in 1979 from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Thereafter, he completed B.A. (Honours) in 1982 from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.

He completed LL.B (Honours) in 1985 from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.  He was enrolled as an Advocate in 1986 from Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh.  He has also completed LL.M (Honours) from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh in 1987.

He has joined the Directorate of Prosecution, Govt. of NCT of Delhi as Assistant Public Prosecutor in July 1994.

He was promoted to the post of Additional Public Prosecutor in January 1998 and had worked at Tis Hazari Courts Complex, Karkardooma Courts Complex, Patiala House Courts Complex, Rohini Courts Complex and Dwarka Courts Complex, Delhi.

He was promoted to the post of Chief Prosecutor in June 2014 and had worked as Chief Prosecutor at Tis Hazari Courts Complex, Delhi as well as Karkardooma Courts Complex, Delhi.

The officer, during the posting as Chief Prosecutor, also performed duties as:  
1. First Appellate Authority under RTI Act of Directorate of Prosecution, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
2. Chairman of Purchase Committee.
3. Member Secretary of Witness Protection Committee.
4. Member of District Victim Compensation Committee.
5. Member of District Advisory Committee (PNDT).
6. Member of Standing Committee.
7. Member of Under Trial Review Committee.

The officer is presently holding the post of Director of Prosecution, Govt. of NCT of Delhi and working in the capacity of Head of Department (HOD) since August’ 2022.
