The ISBT at AnandVihar is  proposed to be redeveloped so as to provide quality service system for the  commuters and integrate it with the city bus service terminal, AnandVihar metro  station and AnandVihar railway station. The total area available is 9.2  hectares. It has a frontage of about 500m along the main Ghazipur road. Main  entry to ISBT is from Road No. NH-56. The present ISBT is functional in the  name of Vivekanand Inter State Bus Terminal, Anand Vihar, East Delhi. 
    Salient Features:

  •  Parking In Basement: 64 buses, 88 taxis, 100 two-wheelers and 1400 cars.
  • Parking at Surface: 236 buses, 44 taxis, 100 two-wheelers, 80 cars &  171 Auto-Rickshaw.
  • Separate entrances and exits for the buses, autos and taxis are planned  in order to avoid clash between the different modes of transport.
  • A well planned network of foot-over bridges, escalators and elevators  will allow easy and safe movement of pedestrians between the terminal, metro  and railway station.
  • The new design is differently-abled friendly
  • It’s a green building using energy, water and other resources to protect  the health of the public, reduce wastage, increase productivity and of course  protect the environment.
  • Landscaping of the open space to beautify the entire area Provision of  suitable heat, ventilation and air conditioning system
